I'm Marlene Carmen — a Mexican-born designer based in Melbourne with over ten years in interior design. With an architectural background from Mexico, I bring technical depth to every project — from concept through to documentation and delivery.
I moved to Melbourne because Australian design is some of my favourite in the world — and I haven't looked back. Before going independent, I spent two years leading concept design at a Melbourne hospitality firm, working across local and international projects.
Now I run Kind of Nice, taking on residential, hospitality and commercial work where the process matters as much as the outcome. My clients span Australia, Mexico and the US.
